Now on sale: The book "Alcem la mirada," a collection of pope Leo's words in Catalunya

Thursday, November 5, 2026.- "I am glad to be at the feet of the Moreneta to entrust to her, full of confidence in her maternal intercession, my Petrine ministry and the mission of the Church in a world crying out for justice and peace," is one of the phrases you will find in the book Alcem la mirada, a collection of Holy Father Leo XIV's words in Catalunya.

The goal of this new publication by Publicacions de l'Abadia de Montserrat is to create a space of meditation for the reader, based on a selection of excerpts from the speeches the pontiff delivered on catalan soil on June 9 and 10, 2026.

These are phrases intentionally taken out of context so that they can resonate in our present moment and specific environment, allowing everyone to read them in the most diverse circumstances and moments, drawing the necessary inspiration to apply them to every stage of life.

The book is a way to make the Holy Father's stay among us present once again, ensuring that his footprint on Catalan society remains enduring over time.

You will find the book at the shop of l'Abadia de Montserrat and online here.
