Tuesday, September 8, 2026.- Today we celebrate the Solemnity of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, one of the most deeply rooted Marian feast days in the liturgical calendar, in which we recall the birth of Mary as a sign of hope, light, and renewal for the entire community.

The figure of the Virgin Mary maintains a central role as a symbol of humility, welcome, and commitment to others, so that on her feast day, she invites us to reflect on universal values such as solidarity, respect, and the importance of keeping community bonds alive.

It is the feast day of the "marededeus trobades" (found representations of the Virgin): images of the Mother of God that, according to various traditions, were discovered in an extraordinary manner. It used to be the traditional feast of Montserrat, where legend speaks of the finding of the image in the Holy Cave, until 1914 when it was established on April 27.
