Regla de Sant Benet

Small and Limited, Yet Loved. Feeling small and limited before God does not mean losing self-esteem, but placing ourselves in the truth of the Gospel, which reminds us that we are children of God and owe all that we are to His love, not to our own merits. We need to internalize our smallness—like the psalmist who describes himself as a worm and not a man—not to fall into discouragement, but to identify ourselves fully with Jesus Christ, who humbled Himself to the extreme out of love. This humility frees us from the temptation to judge others, makes us more understanding and welcoming, and opens us to letting God permeate our lives.
51 The seventh step of humility is reached when one not only declares with their tongue that they are the lowest and vilest of all, but also feels it deeply in their heart, 52 humbling oneself and saying with the prophet: "I am a worm and no man, the scorn of men and despised by the people; 53 I was exalted and then humbled and brought to confusion." 54 And again: "It is good for me that you have humbled me, so that I might learn your statutes."
