Tuesday of the 30th (Eph 5:21-33)
In today's text there is a concept that generally bothers us: to submit: "Be subject to one another out of reverence for Christ." If you wanted to replace it, what would you put in its place? Are you afraid of losing self-esteem? When Jesus died and made himself a slave, do you believe he lost his dignity? Upon what is your dignity, and consequently your self-esteem, founded?
Lord, may my heart be open enough to know how to give myself as You give Yourself.
